Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of revnu ("the Platform"), operated by George Jefferson trading as revnu. By using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Service Description

revnu is a software-as-a-service platform that enables software creators ("Creators") to monetize their applications through:

  • Subscription and one-time payment processing via Stripe Connect
  • Discord role management for access control
  • License key generation and validation
  • Storefront hosting and management

2. Account Registration

2.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Platform as a Creator. Buyers must meet the age requirements of their jurisdiction.

2.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

2.3 Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information as necessary.

3. Creator Obligations

3.1 Stripe Connect

Creators must connect a valid Stripe account to receive payments. Creators are the merchants of record for all transactions and are responsible for:

  • Compliance with Stripe's Terms of Service
  • Tax obligations in their jurisdiction
  • Customer refunds and disputes
  • Product delivery and customer support

3.2 Content Standards

Creators may not use the Platform to sell:

  • Illegal products or services
  • Malware or harmful software
  • Content that infringes intellectual property rights
  • Adult content without appropriate age verification
  • Products promoting violence, hate, or discrimination

3.3 Discord Integration

When using Discord integration, Creators must:

  • Have proper authorization to manage roles in their server
  • Comply with Discord's Terms of Service
  • Not use the Platform to circumvent Discord's policies

4. Platform Fees

The Platform charges a 5% fee on all transactions processed through the Platform. This fee is automatically deducted from payments before transfer to the Creator's connected Stripe account.

Additional fees may apply for:

  • Stripe processing (set by Stripe)
  • Currency conversion (set by Stripe)
  • Premium features (as published on the Platform)

5. Buyer Terms

5.1 Purchases

Buyers purchase products directly from Creators. The Creator is the seller and merchant of record. revnu facilitates the transaction but is not a party to the sale.

5.2 Refunds

Refund policies are set by individual Creators. Contact the Creator directly for refund requests. revnu does not process refunds on behalf of Creators.

5.3 Access and Delivery

  • Discord roles are assigned automatically upon successful payment
  • License keys are generated and delivered automatically
  • Access may be revoked if payment is refunded or subscription lapses

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Platform IP

The Platform, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by revnu. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works without permission.

6.2 Creator Content

Creators retain ownership of their products and content. By using the Platform, Creators grant revnu a license to display and distribute their content as necessary to provide the service.

6.3 Feedback

Any feedback or suggestions provided to revnu may be used without obligation or compensation.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

8. Disclaimers

8.1 Service Availability

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

8.2 Third-Party Services

The Platform integrates with third-party services (Stripe, Discord, etc.). We are not responsible for the availability or performance of these services.

8.3 Creator Products

We do not endorse, guarantee, or assume responsibility for products sold by Creators through the Platform.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • We are not liable for loss of profits, data, or business opportunities

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless revnu, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Platform
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Products or content you provide through the Platform

11. Termination

11.1 By You

You may close your account at any time. Creators must fulfill outstanding obligations to Buyers before closing.

11.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or pose a risk to the Platform.

11.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases. Provisions that by their nature should survive will remain in effect.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

13. Dispute Resolution

Before initiating formal proceedings, you agree to contact us at legal@revnu.app to attempt informal resolution. We will respond within 30 days.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or Platform notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
